"I'm soooooo sick of Go Fish." Amy Rose complained at the Bigfoot Base Camp.

"This is only day two, Amy, you'll have to deal with it." Sonic replied as he picked up a card out of the "pond."

"Out of what, four?"

"We're leaving on the morning of day 5, so yeah, pretty much."

"We'll come take down the equipment just before we leave, not the night before." Manic added.

Amy sighed.

"Divide my cards between you, I'm done." The pink hedgehog sat down her cards and walked to the edge of the clearing.

As the two brothers played Rock-Paper-Scissors to see who got more of Amy's cards, she sat down on a large flat rock.


Some time past, the tween girl had spent it staring into space and thinking of her favorite blue blur.

A rustling noise came from the trees. Probably just birds or something.

Then, a twig snapped. A very close twig. From the sounds of it, it was nothing a small animal could snap either.

"S-S-Sonic?" She stammered.

"What is it?"

"I just heard something in the woods. I-It wasn't tiny whatever it was."

"Don't be paranoid, Amy. It could have been a number of thing. Besides, anything big enough would be caught by the cameras."

"Okay..." She stopped and continued sitting there.

KWOOSH!

Moments later, something flew over the girl hedgehog's head. It hit a tree next to her.

She leaned over to pick it up, it was a well sized, smooth stone.

"SONICCCCCCCCCC!" She shrieked.

"What?" No sooner was the word out of his mouth than he found Amy holding to him so tight he could hardly breathe.

"There's something out there! It threw this rock at me!" She shoved the rock into his gloved hand.

"Wouldn't have hurt you even if it had hit you." Manic observed. "It's too small."

"Look fuzzy, the point is, someTHING threw this AT ME!"

"It is a bit odd...But the cameras and other stuff." Sonic began.

"Forget those! Who do you trust more? Me, or some expensive metal junk?"

"What else could it have been?"

"Haven't YOU been the one saying this all along? It was Bigfoot!" Amy was getting very excited by the point.

"Why would Bigfoot throw rocks at you?" Manic put himself in the conversation again.

"You figure it out!"

"This is wei-" Sonic was interrupted when a stone slightly larger than the last flew over his head.

"DUDE! SHE WAS RIGHT!" Manic exclaimed.

"Believe me NOW?" Amy asked impatiently.

"The equi-"

"Be quite about your stupid equipment!" Amy started, before glancing over at the vile machine. Then, she saw something. "Doesn't that cord hook into that box?" She asked.

"It's been unplugged all day?" Sonic asked with shock. "No wonder. Amy, I think you might be right."

"Bigfoot's gonna eat us!" Manic yelled, before darting under the card table.

"Get a hold of yourself!" Sonic shouted at him as he pulled him back out. Which wasn't easy considering Amy was still clinging too him.

Still grumbling, somewhat to hide the fact that he too, was rather jumpy, the blue hedgehog made his way over to one of the many large metal boxes and re-plugged in one of the cords.

As soon as the metal met the metal, the machines came to life, buzzing and wailing with warnings of pictures being taken, heat sensors being set off, and other such things.

"I think there's an army of them." Manic shivered as he said that.

"Maybe the pink panther's with him." Amy was starting to sound slightly insane by this point.

All three hedgehogs looked at each other. What next?

"Do we go check the things that where set off?" Sonic nervously asked as he pulled Amy off of him.

"What if IT is still there?" Amy asked in a frightened tone as she snapped back to Sonic like she was a piece of rubber.

"Isn't that why we're out here? To find it?" Manic questioned.

"I g-g-guess." Sonic and Amy oddly stammered in unison.

After a moment of silence Manic spoke again.

"W-why don't you two lovebirds lead the way to the traps?"

Sonic was a little too nervous to currently deny any romantic attachments to Amy, so he merely nodded and slowly walked into the woods.

As the three crept through the forest, they jumped at every snap of a twig or beating of a wing.

"I get the feeling..." Amy paused, because it sounded so silly to say. "We're being watched."

"I hate to say this but...Me too." Manic admitted.

Sonic bit his lower lip to keep himself from fessing up that he had the same weird feeling as them.

"There's one of the heat senors that went off." Amy said meekly as a large scanner like contraption on a tree came into view.

"Just at the bottom of this hill..." Manic said. The three stood at the top of a small hill, but to the terrified hedgies it seemed more like a cliff.

"You go first." Amy urged her hero's brother.

Manic gulped and looked down at the tree they where heading toward. It seemed like it was a mile away.

He started by setting his shaking foot down on a rock coming out of the side of the hill as he started his downward journey.

He paused, and took a deep breathe. Just as he raised his other foot...

"BOO!"

"AHHHHHH!" All three hedgehogs screamed very loudly.

Manic lost his footing and when tumbling down the hill. Grass, dirt, and sky spun in circles around him.

At last, he found him self standing on his head, propped up against the tree. He had just closed his eyes and had yet to open them.

He re-opened his green eyes when he heard a familiar laugh. When he did he saw an even more familiar face, only it was upside down to him.

"CLIPSY!?!" He shouted.
