Chapter 4

"SOMETIMES YOU CAN BE SO DENCE! I WISH YOU HAD FEELINGS OF SOME SORT, YOU OVER-GROWN MOLE!!!"

Near the Master Emerald Shrine, Cream and Amy waited for Rouge to stop yelling at Knuckles so they could go dress shopping. In the midst of the Bat vs Echidna screech fight Cream kept giving Tails, who'd flown her and Amy there, "I told you so." looks.

Knuckles opened his mouth to say something that he really shouldn't have back, when Rouge began again.

"I mean, does it mean NOTHING to you that THIS happened?"

Rouge pulled off her stylish newsboys cap that her hair was tucked into and held up a poorly cut tip of it. She'd recently grown her hair out quite long, but when she took a nap the day before in her hammock outside, she'd awoken with locks that look like they'd been hacked with a chainsaw. When she first explained her peril, she stated that she suspected neighbor hood hoodlums, meanwhile Cream tried to look innocent.

"She was just sitting there, fast asleep. I had my mom's sewing scissors. You expect to to pass up an opportunity like that?" She later explained to Tails.

Back in the present, Sonic, who was there simply because he had nothing better to do, whispered to Knuckles.

"Knux, if you want to live you'll tell her she still looks beautiful."

The red echidna, slightly fearing his fiancée's hormonal wrath, nodded and sputtered out.

"You still look awful-I MEAN BEAUTIFUL!"

He cringed at his own stupid mistake. Expecting to get a steel tipped boot to his head or at least a kick in the shins he was surprised to instead, to have a box shoved over his head.

Rouge cried out in some angry nonsense and kicked a nearby boulder clean in two before going off again.

"At least I can cut my hair. You see what happened to THESE?"

"These what?" Knuckles asked with the box still on his head.

Rouge sighed and angrily pulled the box off his head and picked up one of the many fake flowers that had fallen out of the box.

"These are the flowers I ordered for my bouquet."

"Why did you order black roses?"

Cream smirked. She thought it was her lucky day when those numbers she punched in happened to be the order number for black roses.

"I DIDN'T! The flower shop messed my order up!"

"Why can't you order new ones?"

"I can. It's just- Erg, never mind. You never understand anything."

The bat huffed off in an unusual manner. As she passed Amy and Cream she motioned to them.

"Let's go, girls."

"Where do you think YOU'RE going?!?" Knuckles yelled after them.

"Wedding dress shopping." Was the snippy reply.

"Well, good. Then the wedding's still on."

"You bet it is! Because I love you!" Rouge's tone sounded just like it did in the days when she would have said she hated him instead.

"Well, I love you more. SO GET OVER IT!" Knuckles shouted as he shook his fist at them.

Cream sighed in her head. She's created ripple in their relationship, but she needed more than that. She needed waves. No, she needed a TYPHOON.

On the way to the shop, after Rouge had cooled down she handed Cream a catalog for first dress store they where heading to.

"For you, I was thinking something like the pink dress on page 52." She said.

The rabbit flipped through the book until she reached page 52. Her eyes grew big.

Four words ran through her brain. Over-my-dead-body.
